My dad and I were sitting in our shooting house on January 2, 2010 at Scrubby Buck Hunting Club in Kemper County. A doe came through about 4:20 and did not stay in the patch very long. Just a few minutes later this buck came through following her. I was very nervous and excited, the deer looked around and before I could get my gun out to shoot he left looking for the doe. My dad immediately used his Can Call and the eight point returned within seconds. I had to sit on my dad's lap and he helped me get the gun out of the window. I got the deer in my scope and he was facing me. My dad told me not to shoot until he turned. The deer finally turned and looked back and I shot him with my 7mm-08. The deer dropped and it was the best moment of my hunting career. I learned that if you are patient good things will happen eventually.
