It was December 16, 2009. My good friend Shane Robinson took me hunting
at Robinson Farms. We met at the store after school and work at 3:45.
We quickly changed clothes and talked. We decided he would go to the tri-pod and I would go to the T-field (Joe's Field). We said a prayer asking God for safety, contentment, and to bless us with a buck. He told me to sneek up to the shoothouse and scan the field before I got into the shoothouse. The last time he enter the stand around 4:00 does were already in the field. I walked to the field looked around and didnt see any deer so I got into the shoothouse. I took my pack off, sat my gun in the corner, sat down opened the window, and there was a deer in the lane all I could see was the body his head was behind some pine trees. Then I saw another deer in the other lane and it popped into my mind that the first deers body was alot bigger. I immediately got my gun out the window and he turned where I could see his rack. I counted eight tines with huge brows and saw that he spread was outside his ears. He started walking straight towards me and was headed out of the field so I sqeezed the shot off. I saw him favor his front shoulder as he ran out. I thought I heard him crash. Shane called me immediately we had only been in the stand for a minute. He said what did you get you lucky succer. I said a mounter. He got down and helped me track him down. This is the second buck in two years he has put me on, what a great friend. Thanks, Shane.
